Major Carl E. Bobo Jr. of Columbus Ohio was standing on the side of the big motor highway watching the long lines of American equipment speeding by. "This looks more like a horse race than a war" he said. "These armored columns are rolling so fast my cub planes are having a tough job keeping up with the front." Bobo is commander of a fleet of artillery spotter planes working with the Ninth Armored Division east of Limburg, Germany.
